Tune in Tuesday (7)- 90’s Edition

Tune in Tuesday is a super fun meme from the fabulous Ginger at GReads! It’s a great way to share  favorite songs and artists, and find new tunes. If you’d like to join the party, click on the link above and sign up! LET’S ROCK!

These are two songs I was absolutely OBSESSED with back in the day. And I maybe still have a slight crush on Jakob Dylan. =)

GoodreadsFor three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she’d been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she’s pretty much accepted that she’s a freak by mortal standards… and that she’ll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that’s a good thing. But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she’s being hunted by the very creatures she’d once trained to kill. The daimons have found her.”

DAIMON  is the prequel to HALF-BLOOD, which releases October 18 of this year. I was immediately drawn to this story. It’s amazing! DAIMON (pronounced ‘demon’) was an action packed opener that I quickly devoured. Jennifer Armentrout knows exactly how to engage her readers and bring them into her new world.

I love the idea of a prequel. Getting an early introduction to a new story and set of characters really set the tone of the upcoming full-length novel, and has created quite a bit of buzz. It did exactly was it was supposed to and had me chomping at the bit toward the end. I was dying to know what happened! So much so, that I contacted the publisher about getting an advanced copy of HALF-BLOOD, which I now have and can’t wait to start reading. I highly recommend you read this if you’ve got a hankerin’ for an intense, yet fun read…start with this prequel. You’ll be hooked!
