"When Claire Miller turned eighteen all she wanted to do was celebrate her birthday, but after a night on the town with her best friend she awakes to a visitor she never expected.

The rulers of her region, a vampire royal family, have chosen her to be turned as their new heir and vampire princess.

Claire quickly discovers the royal family is not what they seem and that she has secrets in her past, she never knew existed.."

In Claire's world, any citizen that turned eighteen had to decide if they would be a blood donor or not. Most people, from what we see in the story, had no hesitation to get their donor ID card. Why? Because the vampire royal family, headed by King Nicolae Noire, agreed to keep them safe if they were kept in ready supply of blood, via blood bank. I found myself wondering whether the vampire royal family really 'appreciated the gracious gift' of the donors' blood as they said, or if they were just sitting in their parlor laughing at the poor suckers (ha!) who fell for it. It seems, though, that the vampires were genuine and kept their end of the bargain to ensure the safety of the region.

It took me a while to wrap my head around Claire just going with the flow of being ripped from her life and thrown into vampire royalty. Not that she really had a choice. I'm sure it would have been forced upon her regardless. When vampires want something, they're going to get it. As per usual, the palace vampires were very elusive and while most were accepting of the situation at hand, there were some who were downright evil. The action really picks up when Claire goes through an incredible process, and holds up until the end. There were some fantastic plot twists and discoveries, and the ending left me wanting more. Megan Duncan has another great story line going with the WARM DELICACY series.

While I did love the story of SAVOR, there was quite a bit of error in the way of spelling, grammar and sentence structure. I will be honest and say that this did become a distraction for me, and there were sentences that I had to read over again to fully understand. I think maybe more time spent in editing would have made this book a HUGE hit for me.

Duncan really created an interesting new world, and I think you should definitely give it a shot. Plus, there is a totally swoon worthy mystery man that I am dying to get to know! I believe the next edition, titled INDULGE, is already in the works so get started with SAVOR soon!

TA son of Hell, immortal, and bound to Earth forever, Jax looks for redemption in the Mephisto Covenant—God’s promise he will find peace in the love of an Anabo. After a thousand years, he’s finally found the girl he’s been searching for: Sasha.
With the threat of Eryx looming, Jax has to keep Sasha safe and win her over. But can he? Will Sasha love him and give up her mortal life?.”

Major praise for Trinity Fagaen! She created a new world that was insanely intriguing to me. I was taken by this story from the very beginning.

It was so interesting to learn about the Mephisto. Their history, mission and especially about their one shot at redepemtion and entrance to Heaven. I am all about this story. The plot was amazing. Faegan kept a steady pace throughout, but really kicked it up a few notches as the characters lives went through the ringer. Poor Sasha really had the rug pulled out from under her as her life took an incredible turn. Nothing was as it seemed. Things weren’t exactly all sunshine and daisies for Jax, either.

I loved the relationship between Jax and Sasha. LOVED. Faegan did a fabulous job in creating emotional tension that mirrored a real couple getting to know each other and growing together. Things progressed normally, but I did find myself getting a little irritated with Sasha’s indecision after a while. There was one thing that was clear to both of them: in order to be together, they BOTH had to undergo change.

I am SO excited that there will be more installments to THE MEPHISTO COVENANT.  I urge you to snatch it up soon. You should probably be prepared to sit for a while because once you start reading, you won’t want to stop!
